Jinyang Zheng Zhejiang University, China |
Prof. Jinyang Zheng’s career in pressure vessels has spanned 22 years. After graduation from Zhejiang University (ZJU) with Ph.D in 1992, Prof. Zheng joined the Institute of Process Equipment of ZJU and became a professor in 1997, a Qiushi Distinguished Professor in 2009, and a Chang Jiang Scholar in 2012. As a visiting scholar, he worked in the Oak Ridge National Lab from August 1999 to August 2000, the University of Manchester in U.K. from October 2002 to January 2003. Currently he is a Vice Director of National Safety Committee of Pressure Vessels, the Director of SAC/TC31/SC8 Gas Cylinders/High Pressure Vehicle Fuel Tanks, the Director of Engineering Research Center for High Pressure Process Equipment and Safety, and Board Member for three National Standard Committees ( Boiler & Pressure Vessels, Hydrogen Energy, Gas Cylinders).Prof. Zheng has been specializing in high pressure technology, hydrogen storage and transportation, cryogenic vessels, modeling and simulation of pressure equipment under dynamic loading. Under support of many projects from the National Key Basic Research Program of China (973 program), the National High-tech Research and Development Projects (863 Program), the National Natural Science Fund, he acquired a number of important and innovative achievements in high pressure hydrogen storage, steel ribbon or fiber wound pressure equipment, polyethylene pipeline, light weight cryogenic vessels, and explosion containment vessels. He is the author of more than 200 peer reviewed papers and 12 books including 2 text books, the inventor of 60 patents, and the receiver of 16 awards from government as well as industry federation. He was also responsible for the development of 3 national regulations pressure vessels and 9 national standards. |
