The International Workshop on Battery Safety and Reliability (IWBSR) will be held in conjunction with the 2021 International Symposium on Structural Integrity (ISSI2021) in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, during October 8-11, 2021.
Nowadays battery is one of the most important technologies to promote the development of renewable energy, and meet the challenge on global warming which requires more international cooperation. Battery safety and reliability is an enabling fundamentals for the healthy development of electric vehicles, energy storage systems, and consumer electronics industries. The importance of battery safety and reliability has thus motivated us to organize this series of IWBSR meetings to address battery issues from the perspectives of mechanics, kinetics, as well as thermodynamics.
International Workshop on Battery Safety and Reliability includes, but is not limited to, the following themes:
- Battery accident and failure mechanism
- Battery safety testing and evaluation
- Battery structural integrity assessment
- Thermal runaway mechanism and prevention
- Reliability analysis of fuel cell system
- Modelling and numerical simulation
The IWBSR will be an open and fruitful workshop for participants who are engaging in the work of promoting carbon emissions reduction in the community. World-renowned researchers and industry leaders from the international community will gather to tackle the challenges of battery safety. Selected articles will be recommended to publish on “e-transportation”, “Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering”, or “Energy Storage Science and Technology” (special issue).

电池是推动可再生能源发展,应对全球气候变化难题的重要技术手段,而电池安全与可靠性是电动汽车、储能系统、消费类电子产品行业健康发展的关键保障。为应对电池安全与可靠性这一全球重大挑战,推动电池领域的国际合作,2021国际结构完整性学术会议(2021 International Symposium on Structural Integrity,ISSI2021)将同期设立“电池安全与可靠性国际研讨会”(International Workshop on Battery Safety and Reliability,IWBSR),于10月8日-11日在浙江杭州召开。研讨会将从机械学、动力学、热力学等学科角度,围绕(但不局限于)以下主题展开交流:
